Wine Library TV is changing the wine world!

Gary Vaynerchuk, host of Wine Library TV will be on NBC tonight at 12:25AM ET on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Be sure to tune in and check it out, or DVR it.

From the about page of WLTV:

Our movement seeks to break down the barriers, stereotypes, and misperceptions that otherwise prevent people from exploring and enjoying the exciting and rewarding world of wine...

In each episode, Gary tastes wines on the fly-it is unrehearsed, unscripted, and off-the-cuff. As Gary likes to say, he shoots from the hip, but always from the heart. Episodes have focused on a wide variety of topics, including decanting, how to train your palate, the impact oak aging and barrel fermenting have on wine (Beware of the Oak Monster!), and comparisons of wines made from the same grapes grown in different regions.

Wine Library TV which airs 5 days a week is currently on it’s 285th episode, and evidently Conan was Wine Library TV with Gary yesterday, via Satellite! Check it out!

    Ruining “The Thundercats”

    August 23, 2006 on 2:05 pm | In 80s, cartoon, thundercats, tv | 8 Comments

Some things are much better left alone.

WB animation is remaking the Thundercats as an animated TV series. The animation style is whimsical, Americanized-anime, along the lines of Teen Titans. The setting is modern-day Earth, in a major city (possibly LA) The Thundercats are all teenagers. Their leader is Snarf (!) who is now a mystic with a “third” eye. Each of the Thundercats has a weapon with an “Eye of Thunderra” and transformative powers (not just Lion-O) When they aren’t fighting evil, the Thundercats play together as a rock band. That’s not a typo, or a joke. They are rockin’ cats in their present form. Mum-Ra now has wings.

When I first found out about “The Thundercats” coming back I was excited, not knowing that they are going to “reinvent” the series. Is this really necessary? Are we completely out of new ideas? And since almost everything has changed about the show, can they even call the show “The Thundercats”?
