Nintendo Wii Pre-Orders selling out at GameStop & EB Games

Accord to reports, the Nintendo Wii per-order turnout has been bigger than that of the Sony PS3. People are reporting crowds of as many as 40-50 people lining up and waiting for GameStop and EB Games to open their doors and announce how many systems they have available for pre-order. Some stores had as little as 8, while others up to 36.

Live in Phoenix. Went to an EB this morning, around 9:15AM. Manager handed out tickets, I was #6. They had 10 preorders available altogether. In this instance, there was no huge crowd. But the EB at the Mall was jammed pack from what I heard.

Went to an EB Games on the 13th around 2pm and asked about pre-ordering, and they laughed for a bit and then stated that they were sold out of pre-orders by 6am. They even had a line at their door. I also found out that it sometimes pays off to be their early. The guy that opened even brought donuts for the customers…
