Amazon gives away $227 million… sort of

and by “some” I mean a little over 227 million dollars. Either that, or this guy has some great friends/family!

No one else noticed the missing comma in the dollar amount?
Not too difficult to edit HTML, view it in your browser, type in the Amazon address and take a screenshot…
I call bullshit.

The missing comma could be considered evidence for the page’s validity – a faker would have inserted it, but Amazon’s programmers, not expecting to deal with dollar amounts above $999,999, probably only insert a single comma in their formatting scheme.

Um, that’s not how programming works. I don’t know what language this particular page is written in but in most languages you don’t have to add each comma individually to large numbers – you just specify with or without commas when you specify the print formatting…
